As at prosent advised I consider that the ordinance, which was passed unanimously eftor the Council hod hoard Counsel on behalf of the trade, is salutary and desirable in order to diminish the high rate of infant mortality. It is based on the recomendations of the Select Committee on Food products and adulteration (Page XXV) and is on the model of the Laws passed by several other Govormats, o.g. Jamaica section 9 of Law 25 of 1909.
